Your baby may not be "cooperating" but this nasal aspirator often does not cause pain. It is best to suck the baby's nose before eating, because stimulating the nose when eating full can cause the baby to vomit.

Start by putting the baby in the womb, with the baby's head placed on the mother's knees, the legs are against the womb, so that the baby's head is slightly back. Put 1-2 drops of saline on each side of the nose and keep the baby's head in that position for about 10 seconds. Wipe your baby's nose gently after saline dripping.

Gently squeeze the nasal straw to create a vacuum, then gently put the tip of the straw into one side of the baby's nose. Slowly release the tube to suck the fluid in the nose. Lift the tube to the outside, squeeze the tube to let the nasal discharge flow out, then wipe it into a paper towel. Wipe the tip of the nasal straw and repeat the above method for the other side of the nose.

If your baby still has a stuffy nose for 5-10 minutes after that, drip a physiological runny nose again and continue to suck the nose. However, do not suck the nose more than 2-3 times a day because doing so will stimulate the nasal mucosa. At the same time, you should not drip physiological saline for your baby more than 4 times / day because it will dry out the nose and make the situation more serious.
