Win-Aqueous cream is a non-greasy emollient or moisturiser, used to relieve dry skin conditions such as eczema. It is made from a mixture of emulsifying ointment & water (also called oil in water emulsion). When used as a soap substitute or wash product, it works by providing a layer of oil on the surface of the skin, which traps water beneath it & prevents water evaporating from the skin surface. In this way, it helps to retain moisture on the skin & reduce dryness. Win-Aqueous cream is recommended as a soap substitute, to be used instead of soap. Soaps (including shower gels & bubble baths) can irritate & dry out the skin. This can make eczema worse. Although aqueous cream does not lather or foam like regular soap, it cleanses the skin well. It can be used before or during bathing, showering or washing. HOW TO USE: 1. As a moisturizer - Apply by rubbing gently whenever skin needs moisture. 2. As a soap substitute - a) Dampen skin slightly with warm water. Pour a half teaspoon of aqueous cream into the palm of your hand. Add a small amount of warm water from the faucet & rub the mixture between your palms. b) Spread the aqueous cream/water mixture over your skin using a light patting -- not rubbing -- motion. (Rubbing can tug & irritate the skin) c) Rinse completely & thoroughly with lukewarm water. Any residue left on the skin may be irritating. Lightly pat your skin dry with a soft cloth. d) Pat on a moisturizing lotion other than aqueous cream to lock in skin moisture. Do not rub or pull at the skin, as this can cause irritation. e) If you use a psoriasis treatment, wait 30 minutes after using aqueous cream before you apply.
