每一個虎頭香餅的外皮都被烘至淺褐色，上面撒有芝麻，所以，食客在吃餅時，不但可以吃到來自餅皮的香濃麵粉味，同時還可吃到一股鮮香的芝麻味，在配上甜而不膩的內餡後，即成了讓人齒頰留香的美味香餅。
香餅內餡為煮得軟甜適中的麥芽糖, 內餡的味道最難以控制，而他們早年也花了許多時間一再改良，才找出最為人所接受的味道。
