Nestle Malaysia has recently debuted Cerelac Citarasa Ibu, a new range of savory porridge for toddlers aged 12 months and above. Cerelac Citarasa Ibu is designed to build relevance for infant cereal among toddler and extend the consumption of baby food to up to 18-24 months old. The baby cereals in the market at the moment tend to be on the sweet side. The new savoury porridge is available in chicken and vegetable and fill the gap in the lack of baby foods with savory tastes similar to what mother’s would prepare at home. Cerelac Citarasa Ibu is high in iron, Bifidus BL and vitamin A, D, E, B12 and C. We feel there is also the potential to expand the format to ready-to-eat porridge in retort pouch format.
