Product Description

WHAT IS COLD-PROCESSED SOAP Cold process is a traditional way to make soap with just oils/butters, sodium hydroxide and water at a temperature around 40°C. The chemical reaction involved is called saponification which the fatty acids in the oils/butters combined with sodium hydroxide to produce soap and glycerin. Soap does the cleansing while glycerin in soap locks moisture onto your skin. Commercial soap manufacturer normally extracts the glycerin to sell individually for other cosmetic products. INGREDIENTS Olive Oil, Distilled Water, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Sodium Hydroxide*, Cocoa Butter, Castor Oil, Essential Oil Blend, French Pink Clay *Not present in end product BENEFITS For mature skin, anti-aging and skin whitening PURPOSE To cleanse body and face STORAGE CONDITION Avoid direct sunlight, store in the fridge or cool, well-ventilated area HOW TO MAKE YOUR SOAP LAST LONGER As our soaps are all natural, we don't put in extra additives (hardening agent) so it might not be as hard as commercial soap and they tend to finish up faster. So, here you go for some tips! 1. Put your bar in a well-drained soap dish and avoid keep it in the direct stream of shower. 2. Use a soap net (which we have provided with your purchase) and hang it to dry after use, it also helps to save your soap to the last bit! 3. Keep your bar in a dry and well-ventilated area for another 2-3 weeks (although we have let it sit for 30 days), it helps to evaporate more water off which makes it even harder and last longer! HOW DO I KNOW IF MY SOAP IS SPOILED/RANCID Cold-processed soap generally has a long shelf life, the longer you keep the milder and harder it will be. As long as your soap doesn't smell rancid then it is still good to use. SKIN ALLERGIC TEST You are encouraged to perform a skin allergic test especially if you have a sensitive skin. 1. Moist your soap and apply to the desired area; behind the ears if you are using on your face, armpit/wrist if you are using on your body. 2. Rinse it off as usual and look for signs of reaction after 24 hours. 3. If there is no signs, you may continue using the soap. If there is a reaction, wait for another 1-2 weeks and redo the patch test on the opposite site. If there is still reaction, you might be allergic to 1-2 ingredients in the soap. Do a further patch test with your nearest dermatologist to know which specific ingredients you are allergic to and avoid those ingredients in the future.
